It would be a powerful force if all the little Countries in Europe would merge to become one Country. Look at all the wisdom and expertise there would be to tap.
Won't ever happen, though, each Country wants to keep their culture and way of life intact. Don't blame them.
It is extremely upsetting to see our way of life in America being changed by an influx of immigrants with no education and no money. They don't want to blend into the melting pot. They want to change our culture. Each race want its own culture and wants others to suck up and like it.
It would be better if the US could break up into several Countries and each culture group could have their own values and customs without imposing themselves on others.

No. There are too many cultural groups and backgrounds. If Europe was united as one huge country the more populated nationalities would crush the smaller ones whicj would probably lead into huge civil wars. Look at former Yugoslavia for instance. That was a group of nationalities forced together and as soon as their dictator died the problems started. Also Hitler tried his way of uniting the world into one Germany and very few agreed. Being from a very small minority within a very small country (populationwise) I'm used to defending my roots, but I wish I didn't have to!

God I hope not. Europe has a fascinating history and so many different languages. They have merged much of their economy into the European Union nad have the same money. Don't know for sure how that is working out but crap I would hope they would not want to all be the same and work toward a common language. Probably have to have a civil war then too I suppose.

No, I don't think so. Europe is made up of many countries.. all of them unique and interesting in their own way. Europe will get along.. just as it always has... It is a very old continent, remember, has withstood all sorts of folly from man. It will survive and prosper.

In my opinion the answer is no. We have enough regions in the world that are considered countries, yet have been plagued by wars and civil strife do to long standing ethnic clashes within their borders. Too much diversity and lack of understanding among peoples tied together by political boundaries is just looking for more trouble in the world.

NO!!! Europe should be BANNED! Unless the suckers presently in european countries become united in one country and Great Britain (Yes, it still is 'Great', only just) as an Island stands as a separate country!

No it shouldn't....each individual country has its own long history and it would not be feasible to lump them all into one. And in reality, that is not even a considered possibility

I think it is a loss to lose the individual countries. However, I don't live there, so it is really their business.
