I asked my husband that and he said he wont just stand in front of a bullet for me, he says saving me is different but just stand in front of a gun , no one should do that. I think hes wrong . Would you do it for you spouse?

I think your hubby answered your question truthfully, but you weren't happy or satisfied. If taking a bullet were all that were required, that would be easy. However, the real test of true love is not in expiring your life at a moments notice. Rather, we make little sacrifices everyday to put our selfish motivations aside and concentrate our efforts to make someone else's life a little better.
What I read into your hubby's remark is: "I would never have allowed you into a situation that your life would be threatened." "That way, I could live as an old man, kissing your wrinkled hand."

If you really loved your husband, you wouldn't EXPECT him to stand in between you and a gun just for the heck of it.

What he's saying is: I will SAVE you from a gunman, but I'm not going to let someone shoot me just because you're curious as to whether or not I can take a bullet.

I asked my husband and we both agree it would be hard to just stand in front of a gun but we would try anything to save one another.

It is actually an unfair question designed to put someone on the spot. You want him to tell you the answer you want to hear and yet you demand honesty. Only Secret Service agents can say without hesitation that they would take a bullet for the president.

People make decisions with their heart to save their love ones as things happen and often without hesitation. I will tell you yes without hesitation if you ask me if I would give one of my kidneys to save my kids or other parts of my body to save them.

Questions like these are not to be used to toy around as tests of love.

Without coming face to face with the issue, I really can't say, but I think and I hope I would gladly take the bullet for my wife and kids. It reminds me of an old story I heard once. A man was asked if he would take a bullet for his wife. He said, "Sure, and can I have one for my mother-in-law too."

I sure would, no questions asked or hesitation and I know my husband would do the same for me. I love my husband so much I'd give up my life if it meant he wouldn't have to go a single day without ever feeling any pain.
I agree with you on your husband being wrong. He should have said yes.

I don;t know if I would stand in front of the gun for him but I would sure try and push him out the way. I think it has alot to do with my daughter, I would jump in front of a bullet for her in a heart beat.I want to live as long as possiable to raise her.

I would definately take a bullet for my husband. I love him too much to just stand by and see him get hit!! I'd rather me get hit then him anyday! He's is my everything and I love him way too much no to take one for him- no matter how hard it might hurt!! Your husband does have a point though because either way, he's still trying to save you and be with you.

You know you can answer that all you want, but until the situation arises, no one truly knows what they are or are not capable of... I would like to say yes, I would sacrifice myself for someone I loved. I'd hope for an opportunity to disarm the person, promptly followed by a severe a55 kicking!1
