Nubuck is a top grain leather that has been sanded on the outer surface to leave a nap effect on the surface. It feels very soft. It is extremely porous and sensitive and needs regular cleaning and protecting to keep it looking good.

There are a lot of fabrics that imitate nubuck, some of them very realistic.

Its very soft - like a mixture between leather and suede. The outer layer has been sanded.
