cause i'm going to Vietnam for 1 month and i want to be able to use a cell fone which i will buy from the USA and i've have heard that cell fone with a SIMM would do...is that right???

you can use any tri band or quad band phone in vn. i believe the frequency is gs1900 instead of 900 but i may be wrong.
if you want to make cheap local calls, you will need a phone with a sym card. these can be "cracked" for a few dollars in the countryside were i stay, probably more in the larger cities.
do not buy a sym card before you get to vn. the last one i bought in november was a prepaid for about $12 and i believe it was a 60 minute card.
i usually bring a motorola since that has a sym and it's what my service plan gave me.

First I had a Cingular Pocket laptop yet I in basic terms downgraded (simply by fact the bill became into too a lot each month) to a T-cellular Sidekick identity yet i think of i bypass to easily get a RAZR which I had in the previous the Pocket laptop

you need any phone that has GSM 900 Mhz frequency and must be "unlocked" to work on any network.

found sgh 225 on ebay, should work, not a fancy phone
