OOOK, I had the baby bug, and i had it BAD. My pregnancy was not planned, but we took no real prevention against it happening. Now i have a beautiful 6 month old baby boy who lights up my life. I'm only 20 also and my hubby and i were only engaged when i found out i was pregnant. My best friend though, bless her soul, is 21 and has had 3 kids in 3 years. Her first was born right before we graduated, she then became pregnant with the second when the first was only 3 months old. When baby #2 was 6 months old, she found she was pregnant with #3. Well number three is now almost 8 months old. And her life is slowly going down the drain because she has a dead beat husband and they have zero money. Try not to do that, its to hard on the body and to hard on the relationship

SOOOO, if your gonna do it, be wise and take care of yourself. Its especially good to take care of your self even before your pregnant, exercise, eat right, and relax. It makes for an easier pregnancy and labor. I had my son at 20 years old. My husband and i were married at the court house and i was 8 months pregnant and it was the greatest thing in the world. Do what is right for you and your boy. Talk about it, see if hes ready, he might want children, just not yet.

Best of luck!!
Katie

i've been going through the same thing lately. I am 25 and within a month 8 of my friends gave birth. I really am anxious to be a mom. Not just the pregnancy, but the mothering part. So We are starting in May to try to conceive. I can;t wait.

You are only 20..not even old enough to have a drink in a bar. It's not all happiness and sweetness like you see on TV. Get married, enjoy your marriage for a few years and have some fun before starting a family.

The desire to propagate is genetic. That is the only way that guarantees survival of the species. Of course, that is one way to overcome death, by seeing to it that you, or a part of you, continues to exist, even after you are gone.
You seem to be in a good position to provide for a child at your age and socio-economic status. The only thing I would remotely question is the "boyfriend" and thinking that he might propose soon. If he does, good; if not, find someone who is not afraid of commitment and shares your desire to become a parent.

No way! I think most women reach this stage in their lives at some point or another. I've wanted that for a long time too. You're not crazy. It's totally normal. Women have a natural maturnal instinct side.. :) Talk to your boyfriend about it and maybe you two might be able to have one!

I was the same way - I honestly helped me to babysit other people's kids...making me realize that I wanted to do it the right way and wanted to wait until I could make life as perfect as possible for a child.

WAIT - it'll be worth it in the long run...get engaged, finish school..then get married...
