NO WAY!!!! IF THEY ARE HERE, THEY CAN LEARN OUR LANUGAGE,, BAD ENOUGH IN HOUSTON, IN CERTAIN AREAS, THE STREET SIGNS ARE IN ASIAN, THAT MEANS YOU ARE NOT WELCOME IN THOSE AREAS, USED TO BE IN ENGLISH, BUT THESE AREAS HAVE BEEN TAKEN OVER BY THE ASIANS, ALL THE BUILDINGS AND BUSINESSES SIGNAGE IS IN ASIAN,, WE DONT HAVE AMERICA ANYMORE,, IT IS SLOWLY BEING TURNED OVER TO THE PEOPLE WHO INVADE OUR COUNTRY. I would vote for a president that is really from the Religious Right just so we could stop the take over of the USA by Mexicans, Asians, Cubans, and Muslims.
It will be interesting to see how those groups interact when we the real Americans are no longer in power. Bet there is civil war.

i do not think it should be changed to " make" our kids learn either of those two languages. However, having said that.. i think it should be offered as an elective for those who wish to learn it. more learning is always good. We in the U.S., unfortunately have been reading too much of our own press.. and consequently believe we are the greatest everything on earth. it will not harm us to learn a little more.. we are really quite ignorant as a country. We barely know our own history, let alone any other countries. Knowledge is power.. altho' our present President is a very poor example of that.

i think it is sad and if the biritsh had not try to take over india-non of this would have happen- i think you need to petition this and stand up for rights against these terrorists-it is not your fault , it is your stupid goverments fault for doing this because all they are doing is giving these iditos more reasons to continue to migrate to your country and i would say encourage your kids not to learn arabic and mandarin-you have the right to say no and protest and the only way it can get better is if you protest and stand up for your rights-UK is a very stupid country

I think it's amazing. I'm learning Mandarin now in college and I wish I'd have had the opportunity to learn it in elementary, junior high, or high school. It's a tough language and it would have been nice to have learned it when my mind was a little more malleable.

Ya we should stick with english and force everyone else to learn it. Umm ya no we need to learn foreign languages if possible because we arent learning anything else in school
