If so, why are they spending donations like that? Why aren't they giving the money to the children that need the help rather than just having celebrities ask qwestions? Does this make you more or less likely to donate money to them?

I was a mercenary in Kenya a few years back. I know for a fact that not even a quarter of what you give to UNICEF makes its way to the kids there. It's no surprise that they're doing this kind of thing to look like they care but really, it is your donation money that's paying for there advertising. Yahoo Answers has gotten rather popular and organizations like UNICEF see that and rather than paying for TV spots, they're buying questions.

Cat does not donate to *any* large organizations of that sort. Cat prefers her charity to be smaller, and visibly doing what it's supposed to do...for instance, Hiway 80 Rescue Mission, here; they feed and shelter homeless people, and some of them stay and work for the mission. Great bunch of people.
