They charged the amount in full twice, how can I get my money back ASAP. They told me they have to wait till my payment clears their account? It's a credit card, it's a automatic payment. I need the money back today and their saying it's going to take 6 to 10 days. Is there anything I can do? Should I file a police report for theft? They were not authorized to run my credit card.

I made the deposit with a Visa and paid the balance with a Master Card. I've showed them my statements but their refusing to refund the money ASAP. Do I really leagelly have to wait 6 to 10 days? I'm going to have checks bouncing all over because of this.

OWCH!

That is a mistake on their part and they have to fix it. Unfortunately, the credit will not happen right away.

Even if you went through the credit card company or your bank, it would take 2 weeks to get your full credit.

Talk to a supervisor and explain the situation. Let them know that you were charged twice. If they still refuse to solve the situation immediately tell them that you are going to dispute the second charge. Then call your credit card company and explain the situation to them. They will dispute the second charge and you will not be liable for payment on the charge until they figure out what happened.

This has happened to me several times. When you have two identical charges on your statement usually the card companies can figure out quickly that it was a double charge.

I don't know, it's included in the student fees at my school. Though the facilities and equipment are so old that I've started considering just buying a membership to a gym a few blocks from campus.

They should be able to correct this today. Tell them you want credit on it now and ask to see the manager of this gym. This is not right.
