We have that same crib, I think, if not it looks just like it. Anyway I liked it. The only thing that i didn't like is when my son started getting teeth you can see teeth marks all over cause the wood is soft. other than that its easy to put together, we have it as a toddler bed right now and it works well. i didn't mind the rail not moving as long as the bed was set at the right level it was easy to get him in and out.

I don't remember the brand or model I bought, but I got a convertable crib. I haven't put it together yet, but I looked for a crib where I could drop the rail with one hand. I wasn't real picky, being on a budget, but I like this one because it also comes with a matching trundle drawer for storing linens, etc. It will be nice, too, to not have to buy extra furniture when Baby gets to her toddler phase and above.

I got my son's crib at Wal-Mart. It's a 4-in-1 convertible crib with the drop-down rail, plus the changing table is built right in. When the crib converts to a bed, the changing table converts to a nightstand. It was easy to put together, and the front rail can drop down with one hand. The changing table has three shelves and three drawers, plus a safety strap and a padded waterproof changing mat. Actually, here's the website, you can see it for yourself. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3132491 I love this crib, and I plan on getting one for each of my kids as they come along.

I got the simplicity Ellis 4-in 1 Convertable.. Its very sturdy only $250. It does not have the lowering side rail. You can get the matching Changing table, Dresser, Combo dresser/tower/changing table as well. Comes in Cherry and Honey. MY son is 7 months old and I love this crib.

I have a nine month old son and have to buy him a new crib already. We got my son a crib for $100.00 and it has already broken. Anyway, from the research I have done, I have found that you need to spend a least $300.00 to get a nice crib. Simmons has a very nice one for $300.00 that looks like it can take a lot of abuse.

I don't know the brand, but I used my parent's crib. I have younger siblings, and they got a good deal on it from Fisher Price. It's solid, and in good condition, and it does have the rail that goes down. (which I am thankful for, cuz I'm short and would have a hard time reaching otherwise! lol)

You might want to check out Consumerreport.org for more details. There could be recent recall on the crib you're looking at, or it could be the best on the market right now.
