Why not go for a hike/walk up Runyon Canyon? It's full of lots of people and their dogs and is good exercise and a great view.

Go up to the original Hollywoodland up in the hills and walk around the little village up there.

What about a quick trip over to Catalina?

There are a zillion comedy clubs here. Many of them are cheap or even free to go see shows.

Go out to Santa Anita racetrack in Arcadia. They have live horseracing five days a week and on the weekends often have live concert events and microbrew festivals and stuff. It's really cheap entertainment.

Check out www.1iota.com and get tix to see a cool guest or musical act on Kimmel, Carson Daly, etc. It's free and fun.

....and I'm spent :-)

There are lots of things that you can do besides just dinner and a movie. You can go to a concert, comedy club, dance club, an amusement park, the fair, the pier or boardwalk at the beach. Try bowling, ice skating or roller skating. How about miniature golfing or maybe to the museum. Even to a casino if you have any where you live. Have fun

Why not go the Griffith Park in the Evening and catch a sunset.

Why not go to a Romantic Lounge (Bonavista Lounge @ the Bonaventure Hotel) For a Drink or 2 or coffee and some quiet conversation.

Take a stroll at the beach Venice Beach check out the surf and the shops.

Or one of my favorite things to do is fly a kite at San Pedro (Korean Friendship Bell)

Go see a play. There are a lot of little theatres in LA that have very good productions.

Walk around Universal CityWalk. Kind of expensive to park, and many tourists, but there are a lot of fun activities there.

The Getty! Even if you don't like to look at art much, the Getty is just a cool place to hang out. I don't know what it is, but it just feels good to sit on the grounds and have a coffee and look at the view.

Santa Monica; 3rd street promenade has street performers and cool cafes and shops. And the pier is nearby.

Have fun!

You can go to the Block in Orange - go to luckystrike, a bowling alley & bar.

Speedzone in the city of Industry - race go carts

The pike in Long Beach - restaurants, bars, a pier. Drive north to Belomont Shores and they have gondola rides (romantic!)
