I understand that romance from a mens point of view is different, than a woman's. What are some "creative" ideas to romance my wife? One thing my wife loves is words of affirmation, i have a hard time coming up with creative things to tell her. Any ideas women???? In what ways do your husband make you feel loved, secure and romanced?

Women feel very self conscious. It is important for me to hear that my body is more than acceptable. My late husband once told me that I wore the past in my face and that it was the most beautiful thing about me. That my body housed our son and was precious to him. He also has admired every single curve, every line, every bump. I think he has touched and kissed every single inch of me. So many times when I have felt ugly or fat or old or unloved he would strip me and make love to me without even so much as a mention of sex. Only a true lover can understand that.

He's gone now and your question is killing me because I realize that this is the reason I can't love anyone now. I could have a boyfriend, a sexual partner but no one would ever love me like he loved me. No one will ever again see in me what he saw. Only the man who's child I bore and who watched me grow up and mature will ever know what he knew and he took that love to his grave.

So if you have children, let your wife know what a precious woman she is. How irreplaceable her body, her heart, her past. She wears the history of your family on her face, in her soul. Her youth is worn by your children and her grace lives on in them.

I am 48 and I have come to the conclusion that romance is more subtle than most ppl think.... My husband opens doors, ask me how I am, a kiss on the cheek, a single flower now and again, a little gift for no special reason, help in the kitchen w/lots of smoochies while helping, loading the dish washer, peeking around the corner while I am on this thing and blowing me a kiss and a smile, holding my hand while we are shopping at Wal-mart, telling me a great lie *you would look good in that* that being this tiny little scrap of a thing called a nightie !!! *laughing*....... calling me during the day just to say HI !!!! or ask what I am doing !!!! taking me to a movie or out to eat when he sees I am down or sad..... sending me a card for the same reasons........ romance is a soft form of love...... remember that and you will know what it is !!!!! God bless

Do something with your wife that she has always wanted to do with you, but you may never seem to have the time. It could be something very simple like sitting on the beach and watching a sunset and just talking. Maybe she's always wanted to go to a museum and just pass the time away talking about how much Monet does not impress her...anything that is uniquely her that she has expressed desire in doing. It's not even that you are doing this activity, it's that you listened to her...and that you really want to do it with her. It's the genuine desire to do something together and that you take an active interest in it because she does. Flowers...chocolate...jewelry, forget about all that. The most meaningful thing to a woman is knowing the man she loves wants to take time and just BE with her, just to enjoy the simple pleasure of her company.

Okay, listen - this comes from a man who's been married 52 years - my Uncle Lonnie and his wife Veranda.
It's the little things. Nothing is trivial. Nothing is too small.
Remember what she likes, remember what tastes good to her, bring home little things like ice-cream, say sweet things you know are corny but they make her feel good, hold her hand, cuddle after and before sex, kiss her forehead, touch her face gently, rub her feet (women's feet always hurt), kiss her hand, feel her up without having sex, do the taxes, wash dishes every now and then, cry in front of her when it's necessary (sappy movies, arguements, good feeling stories, etc), show a sensitive side, rub her down with lotion or oil after a shower, go shopping for perfume with her, offer to do her hair (even if you can't), bathe her, buy her something you would never get her that you know she'd love (like a Tickle-Me Elmo doll).
Stuff like that. To us it's sap, to women, it lets them know you care and were thinking of her - and that is what's romance to a woman. She is always on your mind.

You want to know how he makes me feel loved, secured, and romanced. Just being in his arms makes me feel secure and just knowing that he is there for me makes me feel secure and safe. He makes me feel loved when he does little things to make my day the best day ever whether its just giving me flowers or even just a kiss on the cheek. The romance is never a problem because we love each other so much and whatever we do is romantic.

The most romantic thing my husband does is that he always takes the time to talk to me and listen to what I have to say. Even if he's busy working, or watching TV, he will always pause and give me his full attention whenever I come and talk to him. He goes to bed much later than I do, but every night he will come to "tuck me in" when I'm ready for bed, and we spend about half an hour to an hour talking before I go to sleep. He doesn't need to tell me anything, his actions speak louder than words. Words are cheap, but it's hard to fake an obvious desire to spend time with each other.

remember, it's the little things that matter. complement her on her cooking, the way she looks, etc. thank you's go a long way too. my husband loves every curve, ever inch of me & I'm not a supermodel. be honest, we can tell if a guy is lying or if his compliments are forced. take an interest in what interests here. these little things should help add some romance.

It could be something as simple as washing the dishes for her.Doing house work that she always does, running her a sweet smelling bubble bath with roses or some type of flowers she likes waiting for her,and scented candles that set a relaxing mood for her to soak in the tub.But the one of the most important things you can do is ask her how her day way,and listen to her,I mean really listen to her,as you are rubbing her tired feet,Looking in her eyes, that lets her know that you are paying attention to her.Tell her how much you love her,and appreciate her.Don't be surprised if she asks you exactly how much do you love her.Have more than a one word answer for her,As you are still massaging her feet and looking her in her eyes. (Remember, listening, rubbing of the feet, telling her you love her and appreciate her comes first.)

Make her a home cooked meal. run her a nice hot bath with sented oils and perhaps after the bath give her a nice back rub. Sex doesn't need to be a factor. It you don't have time for all that.. just get a nice bottle of wine... lite a few candles... put on some nice music.. sit down together and just have a nice cuddle

Erm.. I don't have a husband! But, I like cute little things; I think they matter the most. Like getting one single rose instead of going hey-ho-overboard with a bouquet the size of Germany.
I think women love romantic restaurants. Or, if you can cook a nice meal then that would be extra special because she would know that you have put your thought into it.
