The super bowl's only better if the 49ers are playing. Other than that, the world cup by far. I missed the world cup last July when it was over, I barely even watched the super bowl yesterday and couldn't miss it less.
So as a completely biased 49er fan, I think the super bowl's better if the Niners are in. The unbiased answer would have to be the world cup.

the world cup is once every 4 years. superbowl next year. this makes it more special. Also its probably the only true global sports ultimate event.
i still love the superbowl though. yesterdays wasnt the best as there was no suspense after the 2nd quarter and there were way too many
turnovers.

The superbowl is a lot of fun, but it's one game for one country. The world cup is a HUGE deal, and America is finally getting into it.

I guess if you're in the US it's Superbowl but if you're outside the US it's the World Cup.
I'm in England and for me it's definitely the World Cup.

what a stupid question!! Even Real Madrid - Barcelona has more audience than the SB, just take into account that Brazil, Europe and Africa watch a match like that one and a negligible fraction the super bowl.

the international Cup is 20 circumstances larger than the Superbowl. I stay in Australia and whilst we made it the comprehensive u . s . went nuts. pretty much each u . s . in the international performs soccer/ soccer and basically a small share of the worlds inhabitants play American soccer
