I am 20 years old and have recently been experiencing a range of different symptoms, but don't know what is the cause. I NEVER get heartburn, but lately (for the past week or so) I have been getting it everyday. I have also been getting headaches pretty frequently which is something else I hardly ever get. Mainly, I have been experiencing a lot of abdominal discomfort. Pretty bad cramps, but I know its not my period. I just got off of my period on the 28th. My abdomen also feels swollen and hard. I haven't been to the doctor yet because I wanted to second other opinions before I do. Does anyone have any idea what could cause such symptoms?? Yes, I am sexually active, but if I have had my period recently then I highly doubt I am pregnant. Any advice would be appreciated.

1.) You could have what I had. A raptured cyst on my ovary, I had to get surgery for this.
2.) You could be pregnant, but not in your womb, you could be pregnant in your fallopian tubes. Get an ultrasound first, and if you do have this, then you have to get surgery, or your fallopian tube can burst, and you can die.
3.) If you are sexually active, and sexually active with more than one person, you could have a sexually transmitted disease.
4.) You could also have HPV, it's a disease called by a virus, and it can cause cancer of the cervix and/or uterus, and can cause genital herpes.
5.) Your hormones could also be going through an imbalance. This is crazy of me to ask, but smell your vagina everyday. If it starts to become a different smell(and not because you change soaps), then something is wrong.
6.) Your ph level could be a little off too.
It's basically could be just a whole list of things wrong with you, even things that I didn't write down, so the bottom line is:
GO TO THE DOCTOR (An OB/GYN Doctor), and get yourself checked out, because whatever is wrong with you, the longer you wait, the worse that it'll get.

Are you on any birthcontrol? If not then you may be pregnant... you had your period Jan 28th? if so that would make you very fertile between the 10th and 17th... so dont have sex during that time.... Have you had any stress these last few days? That could be a source of your problems too... Just take a test another week or so... if all else fails see a doctor!!!

well, some of your symptoms could be pregnancy (like abdominal discomfort, etc). however, some of them are definately NOT pointing to pregnancy. your abdomen should not feel swollen and/or hard until like 3 months into a pregnancy. maybe you are constipated.

either way, i'd go to the doctor if it continues or is bad enough that you need help. good luck!

Yes. You sound like you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Talk to your doctor and go to www.webmd.com for more information.
