Better for men? Oh gee if we don't happen to be 5'5" what should we do?

Your height is not something you can do anything about.

Research has shown that our society generates cosmetic "perfection" in the minds of even very young children. I recall the study where youngsers were given descriptions and asked to circle the human (male) height that represented those qualities to them. We've been taught that short men are weaker and less attractive than taller men.

Well, we're sorta right on that one. Biological instincts cause a desire to share genetics of a male that seems more able to provide for and defend a family. But women's role is (generally) not to do either of those. So the question is most appropriately left that neither is better. A shorter woman is more likely a better match for a shorter man, and vice versa- though not even that can be considered a rtule due to the variety of unpredictabilty in human attraction & bonding

The shorter than woman the more men she has a choice from. Most guys won't date a woman taller than him. You can't change your height. I'm just over 5 feet. Should I be worried other than the fact its rather hard to find pants that fit? No cause What can I do? Nothing, dumb question for woman. For men its a little different.

Well clearly research is full of crap. I'm 5'0 tall and I have no problem getting any man's attention. I never have, and I never will. Men like what they prefer. Some like taller women, and some like them shorter like me. Some might like them the same height. It all depends on the man and his personal taste. Why would a taller woman be better for a man??? I don't think this is any research except for your own.

It really doesn't matter, I don't think height has much bearing on a woman's confidence, like it does with men. I would think only extremely short women (less than 4ft10) or extremely tall women (over 5ft10) might feel insecure about their height, but otherwise I don't think it makes much difference.

HTH : )

Better in what way? Does it matter? It's not like you can change your height.
