...they take their small children to horror movies?

I went to see "Messengers" this weekend and was disturbed at the number of young children and babies in the theater. There was a lot of scary and violent content and it was very loud for delicate little eyes and ears.

Am I being too nosy or does anyone else have a problem with this too?

No, they are not abusing their children, so obviously they shouldn't be charged with child abuse. They are just ignorant and dumb. If anything they should be charged with child negligence. But that won't even do. Each parent raises their kids how they feel. if a child got scared and couldn't sleep, screams in the dark or anything like that then I am sure these dumb parents will avoid taking them to watch scary movies next time.

a noisy room for a newborn is good depending on the age they probably will not remember what they saw -under 5 years.
anything older than that would not exactly be called child abuse most parents will regret the decision when the child will not sleep at night due to the content i have problems convincing my 10 year old not to whatch commercials on tv for the same problem.
Child abuse ???
I had to eat spinach as a kid and i wish that had been considered abuse.-not a good comparision i know but i dont believe it should be a law , i think the movie managers should be the ones to say no.

I don't think they should be turned in. However, I don't think it is right for young children to watch those kinds of movies. At a young age, children can't tell the difference between fact and fiction. I work at a preschool, and there are lots of kids that talk about watching scary movies, and they talk about it like is everyday life. Kids should be watching happy, fun movies, not blood and guts.

Oh, I do too, but its part of a much, much bigger problem -- I hate listening to Dr. Laura and those types, but man they are soooo right about this kind of stuff... Generally speaking, parents are morons these days
