Perhaps it is not a case of more or less love, but a totally different kind of love.

A mother is forever bound to her child - by birth, blood and nurture. It is what is ordained by the very body she has and its mechanisms and purposes.

A woman loves her husband for his qualities and the experiences they both share and for his 'partnering' with her to create said child. In the best of relationships this is an awesome thing!

Until maturity a child is dependent on his/her mother for nurture; affection ,love and guidance [naturally some of which he/she also hopefully gains from the father too]

If the mother [or for that matter, even the father] were to place someone ahead of the best interests of the child, this would entirely defeat the purpose of being a parent.

I don't think women love there children more, but because of the never ending task of caring for our children we might at times be ignoring our husbands needs. This is more than likely unintentional because we are busy, tired or stuck in a routine even. If you're feeling neglected maybe it's time for you to do something sweet for her. Chances are she will snap out of the routine (at least temporarily) and realize she has been neglecting you, the man she loves.

well, you choose your husband and you can leave whenever you want. Your children are physically a part of you and for most women, just giving birth forms a bond that is pretty much unbreakable! Their vulnerability as babies and infants imprints on you and you find your life changing forever once you have looked into their (adoring) eyes and smelled their smell! Really!

Not all women do, as is evidenced by the many women who place their children's basic needs behind the wants of the particular man in their life at the moment. Genetically, I believe we are programmed to be protective of our children and love makes the responsibility of parenthood much easier.
