Did you remember to reset the new ink cartridge that you installed last time? If you did not, then it could be empty. Whenever you put a new one in, you should tell the printer that you installed a new one. Just have to hit the button that says new one installed, or else it will give a false reading..good luck..

have you gone into the maintenance mode and cleaned them? and then run a test?
if not I recommend you do that. If that doesn't work, take out the black ink and make sure you removed the sticky tape on it and that there's nothing wrong looking with it.
