I am trying to surprise him for his b-day. But he is not very openminded when it comes to new types of music (you know kind of stuck in a decade). Also, Is it worth paying more to be in the poncho section?

I saw the show a couple years ago and loved it. At that time (and things may have changed since then), not only did they play percussion music, they also played other types of music. I remember some Jefferson Airplane somewhere in the show.

I sat in the poncho section, but didn't get messy or wet. I was glad to be that close though, because my eyesight isn't that great, yet I was able to see everything and read some of the cards they put up.

I would definitely recommend this show to anyone, regardless of the type of music they like. It's not like Mamma Mia, where you pretty much have to like Abba to like the show.

I loved Blue Man Group. It is not only good music but also hilarious. If he doesn't like the music, there is also a lot going on visually.

I sat in the poncho section and it was nice because it was so close. I don't think being a few rows back would make a big difference.

I saw Blue Man Group in Chicago and had a great time! We were in a balcony seat and enjoyed the show so I don't think paying for the poncho section is necessary for a good time. If you go, be sure to hang around the lobby after the show...they sometimes come out and "visit"..

You should at least see them 4 times, the first time take it all in. The second time, focus your attention to the blue man on the right, the second time focus on the blue man on the left, and the last time focus on the blue man in the middle. You will enjoy a tottaly different show each time you see it if you do it that way!! :D

You might also want to see it one last time to play with the interactive parts of the show with your cellphone. But believe me, you and your friend will have a blast!!

Oh, almost forgot, it's worth every penny to be in the poncho section! :D

Blue Man Group are bloody amazing! If you don't see them then you'll regret it!
I mean they take a certain type of sense of humour and there is a risk that you as an audience member could be picked for one of their stunts.

For example, as an audience member we all got covered in toilet paper. Does that give you a good idea?

Its not all percusion though, some of it is art and just general madness!

as i read your question,i realized that it was just a statement. one i agree with,i might add. if jesus' closest followers had trouble with this saying,it seems to make sense that 2000 years later, some folks might still be confused. but why drive a wedge deeper between our brothers and sisters. what about love, hope, longsuffering, and perseverance and unity. you are a sister in christ with me,and we are joint heirs to the kingdom through our lord.yet i feel like you wouldnt even have me over for lunch,or have a nice bible study, because im a "protestant"...a label i dont really like.i prefer plain ole christian. why the need to be divided.all this stuff about we're right, and your wrong.....it acheives nothing. im wrong...it causes dissention, anger, and division.all of which our father would not approve of. many blessings tebone!

I would suggest showing him a few videos first (possible on Youtube). If he likes it then go for it. The tickets are a bit expensive. Good Luck.

Depends how much he likes percussion... if he had a choice between drums and a lap dance... which would he choose?
