how to remove the white stain caused by snow/slush?

The white ring that occurs on your pants and shoes when walking in slush.

On clothing, the stain (most likely salt) will usually wash right off, but for shoes (leather, man-made materials) try a soft cloth w/vinegar to wipe it off. This helps keep the stain from showing right back up (especially w/leather) when it dries after wiping it w/water. Make sure to use a damp cloth to wipe the footwear after the vinegar...

Vinegar is also usful to remove the underarm stains on clothing... Soak the garment in the vinegar overnight then wash right away. Air dry the grament until you are sure the stain is gone, as you may have to repeat the process for stubborn stains...

Also--use WHITE vinegar (it is clear) rather than wine, cider, or balsamic vinegar, as the latter 3 will leave discolorations of their own...

I used to live in Ohio. I hated those pesky Slush Stains. I found an article for you to look at. It tells you the best way to remove them.

Just a guess but it is probably the brine (salt) solution that they put on roads/sidewalks that is leaving a stain. It should wash right out with regular detergent.

Must be caused by salt used to melt the snow. Should wash out
using standard methods.

Well l can`t understand that. what kind of laundry detergent are you useing? try a laundry detergent that has bleach in lt or lf lt is a pure white garment then put your regular soap in plus add a little bleach to your wash.

I use baby wipes (which I keep in my office). Very efficient.
