According to an old English Rhyme, the thickness of an onion skin can help predict the severity of the winter. Thin skins mean a mild winter is coming while thick skins indicate a rough winter ahead.

Well all you have to do is grab a Rachel Ray cookbook. I don't think she cooks without onion at all.

you can deep fry them you can saute` them you can eat them raw you can have them in a sandwich you can do many things with the onion
