Well, that's exactly what's being taught in Radical Islamist countries.. . and there are many . Including Iran, Syria, Palestinian Territories, Iraq(pre-liberation) , and Saudi Arabia !!

AND, And, And, their parents actually CONDONE and SUPPORT the so-called 'martyrdom' !! Shocking ? YES !!! TRUE ? YES !!!

Do you think that this type of mentality is good ? Productive ? Worhty of Negotiations ? Acceptable behavior in our world ?

Of course not. And having my bills paid and getting some local status and attention for being the parent of a "martyr" would never be adequate compensation for losing my child, especially losing my child in such a shameful and cowardly way.
I love my children.

Yes if for some reason China and the EU felt that the American indians should have New York back and we were forced by military intervention to give it to them. Then 50-60 yrs of international sanctions and opression as well as the American Indians being allowed to kill the good people of New Jersey ad libitum where all the New Yorkers would have been force to relocate and live in tents. If we were then deprived of the military hardware required to fight on an level playing field (since the EU and China would keep the new country well supplied with the latest missiles). And all we could do to protect ourselves is watch Fight Club and make some explosives. I could think of a scenario where my kids might be willing to kill some bad guys without me teaching them that.

Well, the alternative is to have a child grow up to be like Long Hair. In which case I would say "by all means, blow yourself up" I'm sure the thought of serving anything but his own selfish interest never occured to him. Much easier to belittle those who do by comparing terrorist mentality to a real soldiers mentality. All the time he is free to spout his nonsense due to those very same people. Soldiers (even those who volunteer to go over) serve the country even if they don't believe in the cause.

EDIT: 28% makes a very valid point.

Well of course its not acceptable. And contrary to what is being posted, there +ARE+ people in the middle east that think the radicals are insane.

What many of the people that disagree with my many posts on this subject cannot answer is, if you got the loonies to negotiate, what would you say?

What makes the right wing people on here such experts on Islam? How in the hell would you know? Because Bill O'Reilley told you?

If I remember right, there is a pretty good history of christian martyrdom out there, as well.

If you were born there, you'd be doing the exact same thing. Listen to yourself pops.

You mean, like, by volunteering to serve in Iraq? No, it wouldn't be my goal.
