Yes this is normal as the embryo begins to implant in the uterine lining. As the embryo starts to grow, you may experience some spotting...if the bleeding increases or you start to have cramping this could mean a problem with the baby, regardless be sure to tell your doctor about it.

yes. I have been pregnant 3 times and every time I had cramping, very light on and off for weeks. Even some very light spotting can be normal, but it should be pink or brown, never red. One of the three pregnancies was a miscarriage at 9 weeks, but the other 2 weren't. My daughter is now 3 and I am 19 weeks pregnant now.

Good luck! And call your Dr. if you're unsure of something!

It's VERY normal. People always think of morning sickness when they think about pregnancy, but the truth is that more women have light cramping than those who even have nausea.
I felt so many times like my period was going to start. As long as you don't have cramping along with bleeding, then everything should be just fine and normal.
Your uterus is already growing and making alot of changes.
If it gets to be bothersom, then try to make some time to kick back and relax for a bit.
Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!!

yes it is. My girlfriend is in her 3r trimester. We read in all the books as well as first hand account that light cramping is normal. Go find some books that will help you along the way. Some are even day by day accounts of what to expect. Congrats.

I am 5 weeks pregnant and have been having light cramping and some spotting. They told me its normal and not to worry unless there is severe cramping and you are bleeding enough to soak a pad.

Hey There! I have talked to and read alot about this since I too am having cramps. I am in my sixth week and from what I hear alot of women experience this due to the change happening in your uterus, the baby attaching itself to the wall and it preparing for the baby to grow. My craps are similar to having my period, nothing to bad. There is info at babycentre.com if you want to read more. Congrats on the baby and good luck!

I had some easy cramping. that's probable only the stretching of the ligaments that help the uterus. If cramps exchange into extra extreme, or you start to bleed, call your ob in the present day, or the ER.

Yes, it is, your belly is stretching!! Some people feel it more than others, for me it was like minor period cramps. But always ask a doctor for peace of mind!!

No, I have had two kids and all my doctors have told me if I start cramping then call them or goto the hospital...that is usually signs of miscarrage....but I guess it really depends on what month...it may be the unborn child growning and treatching your uterus.. but the est thing you can do right now is ust call you doctor!
