The airport bus stops at Plaza Cataluna, the main square in central Barcelona.
The Best Western Premier Hotel Regina is located 25 meters from Plaza Cataluna and 50 meters to the Ramblas. Good quality - reasonable price via internet sites.
Also get the metro in the square.
Hop on - hop off (all day) tourist buses with English speaking guides on each bus depart every 10 minutes to the 17 main sights in the city. You will not be able to see all of them in one day they are that interesting!
Don't visit the sights on a Monday, lots are closed!
Have a great time!

Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada FamÃlia Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. Or maybe visit the 98,000 seater Nou Camp stadium the home of Barcelona football club. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelona.htm for more details
