I refinished furniture when I was younger and got paid in cash. Not all shops do this though.

You have to pay the club for your time there. Basically you will get tips, then pay out of those tips to the bartenders, DJ, and waitress for their help. You call that tipping out. And then the club which usually is a percentage or a flat nightly fee. Then you keep the rest of the money to yourself so its Cash. Some clubs will pay a stipend by check (very small fee) to their girls to come in and perform but that's rarely. Hope this helps you.

As far as I know, strippers don't get paid at all by the club; it's all tips. Sometimes they even have to pay the club to dance there.
