When I have to wear hosiery to work I usually opt for pantyhose, but sometimes, especially with colder weather I wear tights. Problem is, they sag after just a couple hours. I never have this problem with pantyhose. I don't know if I am buying a wrong size or what (my pantyhose fit fine) Any help is appreciated!

There's a chance that you could be wearing the wrong size.
Hwever, lycra content is a big factor. Even the perfect size with no lycra will sag and droop. The lycra keeps it stretchy and in place.
Microfiber tights have a good lycra content and feel good too...that would be my recommendation. Even a size or two large can fit well because there's lots of lycra to keep everything in place.

grab the toes with one hand. grab the top of the leg, just under the crotch. Sling them behind you a stretch. It's best to do it after you wash them, when they are damp.
Another thing is to fold down the top. Pull them up in the crotch.
I danced for 15 years and tights were part of the dress code. Mens tights were $40 plus and I didn't like the way they fit of felt. But I had to have them. My partner said she had a pair that were too big. They were deep purple, I like purple so I said O.K.. I love the way they fit & felt. The she told me she got them 3 for $5. I went to the ladies section ever sense.

youmust be buying the wrong size
- its the only answer i can think of
in that case stay to pantyhose only
- for warmth ware a few pairs at once

Try tights with higher percent of Lycra.
