I was looking pretty much upwards to a tube light for a uni practical where i was lying down for maybe 2 hours. Now everytime I look at things, esp other lights, I see a temporary blueish glow. In fact, car lights are blue/white now. What is happening?

You have fatigued the color sensing cones in your eyes and are seeing an after image. You shouldn't have been in a position to look at a light for that long without protection, but it should go away in a few hours. If it does not, see an eye specialist and explain the situation (then maybe see a lawyer.) If you are seeing blue, then the light should have been yellowish in color.
