nope,, but the question is how you both define love ? in my opinion if you are older you have more experiences in life thus you should be a little wiser, but just because your older dosent make you more truthful. the love I know has no age or color and is bound by truth, honesty, devotion, respect, forgiveness, compromise, simplicity, humility, and a giving heart. dont confuse love with infatuation, and never start a relationship in a sexual beginning.
hell. relationships are hard enough and sex sometimes complicates the focus of motives and intentions.

Hello!

A difference in age, especially five or more years if one or both of the partners are under 21, can prove difficult and even be a deal-breaker. Individuals continue to mature, even through their 20s, so although the differences in maturity may not matter at first, as love tones down, goals and expectations will matter more. The wider the gap between a couple where at least one is very young, the more different the goals and expectations. They could clash, as they do between generations, and the relationship could falter. In general, these differences decrease substancially if both partners are over 30. Relationships between individuals over 30 in which one partner is at least ten years older than the other seem to be more stable since the maturity level is near the same with each partner.

Another problem not brought up is with older couples. Once one partner is 60 or older, their energy may be waining, thus they may not be as adventurous as the other, who would still like to go out and do various things rather than stay at home all the time. With seniors becoming healthier and more active, this is becoming less the case until a partner reaches about 80. This could also bring a challenge to an age-gap relationship, but this doesn't seem to be as bad as the troubles brought on by such a relationship with a very young partner.

My mother is married to a man 16 years her senior, but they are very happy together. They have the same goals and expectations. When those are in place, age will not matter.

Well that is a loaded question. It all depends, If one if 15 and one is 21??? Ya, age is a BIG matter. Even if one is 20 and one is 40, I would have some concern. But if both parties are grown and MATURE ADULTS, age shouldn't be an issue!!

My husband was 12 1/2 years older than me.

In some cases yes, in others no, age sometimes go with the level of maturity that u both have and if u get into any problems, one of u might end up saying "u r too immature!" but otherwise there is nothing wrong as long as u both can keep up with each other's pace

Yes it does matter because you have to be mature enough to understand what LOVE is, in order to love. for instance... a 45 yr old guy dating a 22 yr old girl.. the girl may never have been in love and the 45 year old guy has been several times....most of the times its built on fantasy and will never work out in the long run, unless they are famous such as celine dion

age is nothing but a number as long as you two are adults and are in love and are not causing any physical bodily harm to anyone then who cares. if anyone has a problem with it tell them to go f*#@ themselves. it's rare to see people that are truly in love these days so congrats and enjoy it.

It can be.
Usually, too young want to sew some wild oats while the older has done it already and won't have much patience in the younger one's parties.
