Ultra Skid marks?! No way....
Yeah, I'm kinda more interested in realistic games, like NFS PU that I'm still playing. Although I have palyed all other ones too.
Do you remember NFS policy till Underground? They believed that they should have Limited tracks like all NFSs before. But suddenly, in NFS UG2, they made a city that you could cruise all arount it. They upgraded sounds, tuning stuff, they added Hot Pursuit again to the game, they made us design our cars in NFS Carbon,... None of these are based on NFSs before them. Every time they will have a revolutionay movement forward. So, its not so wondering if they let us get out the car and walk in the streets like GTA and Driver. But I'm pretty sure that it would be a long time from now till they let us "steal" other cars in the streets. Because they produce only and only known and proper cars. So they should put all the details just like the original cars for the traffic cars too. So it may need a really good VGA.
I'm not sure that they would do it for the next one, but they have to a new feature for that. Why not that feature.
But, I highly recommend you to Buy (or get, anyways) Driver Parallel Lines. That may satisfy your need.

Well I don't know if there's going to be a next NFS- Lastly they aren't doing good work.
Most Wanted was a big failure and so was Carbon- I'd say they're out of business if they can't come out with something better.
Best NFS was Porshe after me.
