I very highly doubt it. I delete those without even opening them because they are so stupid.

If anyone ever did die from a chain letter, it would be:

1) Autosuggestion -- they convinced themselves that they were going to die and unconsciously set up the circumstances to fulfill the 'prophecy'

2) Coincidence -- they were involved in an accident that had nothing to do with anything except bad timing

3) Laughter -- they read one of those silly chain letters and choked to death on their Pepsi as they giggled

Seriously, chain letters are superstition, nothing more. Even if there *was* something supernatural about them, you are capable of rejecting the negativity and only accepting positive energy.

Why would you even consider the possibility that this could be true?

I remember 'back in the day', when AOL first came out and everyone logged on to the internet. I'd always get emails that said "In 1886, so and so started this chain mail letter..." I'm so glad that the person had internet access in 1886 to start that chain letter on the internet.

PS. Resend this to 10 ppl and you will find your true love tomorrow.

If you don't, your yahoo answer points will all disappear.

No,
they are chain letters that do not hold any spiritual powers whatso ever.
In fact the ones that go through the postla servaces are outlawed now.
It's the internet chain letters that you gotta deal with. They only get so far because there are a lot of gullible people in this world

Yeah I heard about this woman, she received a Chain Letter with a curse. She was suppose to send it to 8 people in 8 days, else 8 members of her family would die including her. Her husband told her to send them (just to be on the safe side), she copied the letter 8 times and sealed all the envelopes and put a stamp on them. She then left them in a Gold box with Gold scripting on them at the side of her bed. In the meantime she won a holiday for her and 7 members of her family (can you see where this is going?). They all travelled to St.Lucia, had a wonderful holiday and on the last day of the holiday (the 9th day) they were all killed on a banana boat. The letters remain in the gold box to this day....................................... But honestly no, there a pile of ****, I'm just really bored!

Well I get chain mail all the time, and I can definitely say I haven't died or lost a limb or anything. I think it's just started by people with no life and too much time, to be honest.

Yes! I did. Fortunately for me some passing paramedics managed to revive me and helped me to post the letter on. I'll always take them seriously from now on - I've learnt my lesson>

I don't repost them. They really bother me so I don't want to bother more people with these silly mails. Many of them include good quotes but I don't want to be superstitious and depend on stupid mails to survive!
