There was an article about the "wonder spot" in WI, closing soon. I grew up near the "mystery spot" and always wondered how it worked... does anybody know?

Its a bit of a trick. The paying customer is led through a twisted path with an uneven floor to disorient their sense of what is level until they get to a room which has a sloped floor and tilted walls. Using only the available visual cues to what is plumb an what is level, the tilted floor and out of plumb walls, the visual cortex perceives the true slope of things wrongly. The trough where water appears to flow uphill is sloped the opposite way from what it seems to be. The "level" table where balls appear to roll uphill is actually tilted just the way it should be for the balls to roll int the direction they roll.

I have no idea. Good question tho. It has to be some kind of trick or optical illusion. Otherwise wouldnt this be a hot bed for scientists looking to learn more about the laws of physics.? People can do crazy thing. Ever seen Cris Angel's show Mindfreak?

He was on the street, had some people put a garbage can over him. hold it down for about 3 second and then toss it away. He wasnt there..he was on top of a two stry building next to the sidewalk. Its a trick made to look like magic...just as I assume this is. A trick made to look like something mysterious and out of the norm.

Keep moving along, and you will notice, just before the stream empties into the lake, it goes uphill. I have walked this way again and again for years, and I have never been able to convince myself that the stream isn't flowing up.Read more ampoule at http://www.siageo.com/.
