I think that Liam Plunkett has great potential and will be a great bowler for England, but I dont know that I would say that the Aussies have no answer for him! he has bowled well against them in one game. Dont forget that in the game in Adelaide he got absolutey spanked (0-39 off 5 overs), which was partly due to his lack of match time, but if you go by the question, they certaintly knew how to answer him there!

Once he has played more matches against Australia, then we can see if the Aussies have an answer for him!

Not sure he will be a star, although he has a great name!

Stuart Broad will def be a big player in the furture, if he can stay fit. England have an ability to get their players injured at vital times - remember poor Simon Jones??? Was the find of the last ashes series in England and we really miss him now. If all bowlers were fit I don't think Plunkett would get a sniff - although he does seem to know which end of the bat to use.

Hmm, I'm not convinced, I don't like his action, it reminds me a lot of Harmison in that there's too much to go wrong and when it does it goes badly wrong - 9 wides today!
Having said that I think he's got to be a better prospect in Test cricket than Jimmy Anderson who has shot his bolt.
Personally my pick for best England pace prospect is Stuart Broad ... remember him from the summer ODIs?

have to agree with the guy above me if youve seen him bowling on a regular basis then u wud understand.

Saj mahmood had a good game against australia does that mean hes a match winner - I think not!

He has got a load of potential and perhaps could go far with England but still has to develop a hell of a lot!

He's a long way short of being a match winner yet, especially in Test cricket. You never know, hope springs eternal and all that - if only Troy Cooley was here!!!!!!

Hope you are watching his 'performance' against NZ this morning!!

The aussies were probably too busy laughing at how crap we are and made him look good! See 1st over in the NZ game for confirmation.
