I am planning a trip to vegas and have a 16 and 18 year old . I am wondering what is available for them . Also I plan on bringing 2 small dogs along. Is there anywhere close to the casino's that will accommodate them?

Can't help you with the dogs. Are you sure you want to bring them along??
The teenagers can view the Shark Exhibit at Mandalay Bay, the dolphin exhibit and Secret Garden at the Mirage, the rides on top of the Stratosphere, New York, New York has a nice video area for teenagers and of course the big roller coaster, and also the ESPN Zone and all of the things to do there. Treasure Island has the Pirate fight every evening, Fremont Street Experience is something to see, of course the indoor pools at some of the hotels are great, see appropriate shows in the evening (Rita Rudner.) or in the afternoon (Mac King ) both at Harrah's I believe. Someone above mentioned the Hoover Dam trip, flights over the Grand Canyon. Have a great trip!

In addition to all of the other great advice you have received, there is also an indoor amusement park at Circus Circus, a huge area for teens in the Luxor, the M&M store and CocaCola store on the strip and Gameworks right next door, the roller coaster at the New York New York (big arcade there as well). One thing to remember, Las Vegas does have a curfew and your kids will not be able to roam the strip by themselves after 10:00 PM. Board your dogs in a kennel at home. Most hotels anywhere near the strip will not allow pets in the rooms. Sorry

No Dogs!!!!!
Try hiking at Red Rock Canyon, beautiful area on 20 minutes outside Vegas. Awesome scenery, we took a 3 hour horse ride.
Cost around 100/per. Worth every cent.
Hoover Dam,something everyone should see. Don't waste your money on the tour though, you walk inside and see the tops of Turbine's. Just not what I expected.
Relax use Hotel pool, all the free shows on the strip @ TI,Mirage, Circus Circus.
Plenty to see and keep interest, just look there's no place like it on Earth!

being 17 myself, i see that there are many activities to do for teenagers in las vegas, although they may not be as fun as say, gambling or going to clubs. but the adventuredome is a great place to go, in the circus circus casino. it is an indoor theme park with a roller coaster and many other thrill rides. they can also play in the hotel pools. there are many movie theaters on and off the strip, and a lot of shows are entertaining for people of all ages. i suggest not just focusing on the strip to look for entertainment, because there are more things to do for teenagers in places that arent on the strip.

Leave the dogs. Bring the kids. Kennels and shelter have some form of an animal disease right now, so putting many dogs and cats down.

There are so many tours and shows for kids. Plus the pools at the hotels are FABULOUS!! NOT sure about dogs though, check with each hotel.
