I am a Doctor and I have never seen a study comparing the intelligence levels of hemophiliacs to others, but my sister's son has hemophilia and he is a mathematical genius. Chance? probably, but in my experience of one that I know well, I would say yes. In my medical practice I have only had three and 2 of those contracted AIDS from factor 8 in the early 80's and died before I knew them well enough to determine their intelligence. The last one seemed very smart, but I haven't seen him since 1995. Don't know if that helps, but if they are smarter, I would believe that it is because they are forced to take responsibility for themselves about 10 years earlier than other people.

Interesting question, but I don't think so. In people with haemophilia, their blood doesn't clot properly. I don't see why that would make them more intelligent, unless there's something really obvious I'm missing here. :)
