They call it the Octogon meaning it has Eight Promonteries, and when you look at the Map it has Eight Projections. The Two Main Mountain Ranges are The Pyrennes stretching between the Atlantic and Mediterrean Sea, and Spain and France. The Alps Stretching Between France one side and Germany ,Switzerland, and Italy on the Other. The North of France has Similar Weather to England and the BelNeLux Countries, and the South has Extremely Warm Weather Similar to Italy and Spain.

Hello,
The English people, and any other foreign vistors they manage to get to visit the place, But enjoy the wine regions and stay away from any snails making their bids for freedom, they could still have the sauce smeared all over them. The best features of France, and it's purely my opinion, is any airplane taking off to take its passengers to where they really want to be, which is usually anywhere but France. Ok So some of the transit systems are not too bad, like the fast trains, but if you can drive, the southern coast is infinitely more attractive than the northern coast, too many reminders of World War two in the north, but plenty of mountain drives in the south. as well as Lourds in the Apennine foothills. You could go to a few web-sites and look for travel info. and see what you can come up with, Me personally does not like the country, and the Gendarmerie (cops) are veryu very rude and will treat you disgustingly. enjoy your holiday, but England and Ireland would be much better places to see much more, and they all speak English too.. France enjoys a wealth of physical attractions that range from mountain valleys, volcanic hills, forests, lakes, river gorges, to Atlantic and Mediterranean beaches, from a hot Mediterranean sun to a cool north European summer.
France is nearly five times bigger than the UK with around the same population which gives it one of it's major physical attractions 'space' and room to breath.

France has several different types of climates and many regions. I lived there and where I lived was similar to Washington/ Oregon but there are also Mediterranean areas, mountains, and very dry/ arid areas. Check any geography site or "World Almanac."

Rivers, mountains and 3 bodies of water, the English Channel, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Some of the important rivers are the Seine, Rhone and Loire, but there are many more. France is a nation that loves the sea shore and the river.
I am reporting the fool who posted "white flags."
