The lowest score is 19 and the highest is 47 the range (a) therefore is from 19 to 47.

b) The mean (average score) is all scores added together divided by 12.

= 383 ÷ 12 = 31.92

c) You were below average.

The range of the score is simply the largest score minus the smallest score and is 47-19=28.
The mean score is the average of all the scores added together and this is 383/12=31.92.
You are obviously below the mean score of this small sample, but these students may not be typical.

a) range = largest - smallest = 47 - 19 = 28
b) mean = sum of scores / 12 = 383 / 12 = 32
c) You scored 27 which is 5 marks below the mean value.

Perhaps you must do some extra work in order to improve your marks in this subject?
Good luck anyway.

put all the scores in order - lowest to highest

the range is the lowest score to the highest score, so 19-47

the mean is all the score totals added together, divided by the number of scores, which is 12

compare 27 to the mean score you have calculated - if 27 is above the mean score, you did better, if its below you did worse
