It's Redbud again. I live in Chicago. I'm 33 years old . I'm not in school. So I can't get any help from anyone there.I don't have a Job , I can't pay for the help.So now what do I do about that.

Redbud, go down to your nearest library and ask the librarian for some suggestions. She/he should be able to tell you where you can get some help. Don't know is this is near you but you might try these people too.

I have two suggestions for you. One is to get into an adult literacy program--there are available in chicago--and the other responders are right--the library can help you find them. If they can't, the Chicago Board of Education can.
You did not say if the lack of reading is due to a disability. If it is, you may be able to get assistance from the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (also, if you aren't sure if you have a disability they can tell you how to have an asssessment done). They can not only help you with tha reading but with job training. A hint--even if you don't particularly need job skills training, they can't fund you if you don't go to school--so think up something you'd enjoy learning and go for it. Sneaky--but the system isn't going help you unless you play the game.

sweet dreams are made of this ~~~~~~~~~~everybody is looking for something~~~~~~anyway find a guy and get married then when he has you back up on your feet dump him and give him the guilt trip from hell that what they do to me, take him done to that level and beat the hell out of 'em~~the people in America are mostly average they all have the same average amount of intelligence to do the same thing individually or one at a time or are going to ask me what guys would like you till you got it together while they are crazy for love you love them and when it becomes an issue they will still be trying to figure out what women are by the time your through they may not have noticed that you were on a mission of your own
