Nobody as claimed responsibility yet have they?

The London letter bomb sent to Capita HQ is probably nothing more than some lunatic who owes hundreds in Congestion Charges and whom they're taking to court.

I hope this is all there is to it. It's in my mind that during the IRA letter bombing campaign, their letter [parcel] bombs did a great deal more damage than seems to have been the case on this occasion.

I am sorry to hear that a woman working at the Capita Mail Room was injured. I believe here injuries are not life threatening and that she will be okay. Only know what I've heard/seen on ITV News 6.30pm London, so far.

A police statement was made, but think this was sometime soon after the Services got to Capita HQ. They said they would be back with more info when they get it later. Maybe this will come in the Ten or Half Ten Nooze later.

On the subject of the Wackos. One thing for sure and this is a terrorist plot in the back of my mind, is they're going to hit us really hard anytime soon. Not the usual target but probably a theatre a cinema or even a supermarket on a crowded day.

We already know that some terrorists [allegedly] were planning to kidnap, turture and execute a Muslim solider of the British Army. This is not the end.

BEWARE!!

Capita, or one of its 'partners', obviously p!ssed someone off somewhere down the road, and that 'someone' was obviously desperate enough to take it further than your average Joe. This doesn't make them a wacko - it simply makes them disillusioned; they feel that desperate times may call for desperate measures. (But, ultimately, "violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.")

Still, terrorism this is not - it's a statement and nothing more. And if this is in any way related to the Congestion Charge (which, incidentally, has recently increased) then I wouldn't be surprised if it was only the first of many such statements. After all, hit the British people where it hurts time and time again - in the pocket - and you're naive to believe they'll always quietly crawl back under their little rocks without argument. Somebody, it seems, may have just started standing up for themselves.

This is hopefully a one off incident, by someone who went nuts. There has not been any claim by any terrorist group that it is theirs.
The I.R.A. did a lot of letter and parcel bombs, they made certain we knew they were responsible too. After all whats the point in committing an act of terrorism if people don't know who was responsible?

Probiblly learning to blend in better then icepicks to the kidney of random strangers in a crowd at subway, outside sports stadium, etc.

Multiple attacks across europe using same method on one day. Ice pick in kidney would hurt so much the victim would not even cry out. A really tight crowd would hold victim upright long enough for terrorist to edge away and then when crowd moves to enter trains or cross street then terrorists vanishes and was never close enough to stand out.

Sure it was meant for Ken Livingstone, but some dip stick didn't know that our Ken is only responsible for instigating the Congestion charge. Hope the girl is not too badly injured and get well soon

They must have really objected to the congestion charge!

It is daylight robbery mind you - I hear Ken Livingstone is planning even more motorist taxes and extending the Charging Zone.

Didn't hear about that one... but is it very shocking. They like things that go boom. A shame they all don't decide to blow themselves up and save everyone else from having to deal with them. Oh, they're already doing that.
