yes I did, however he was playing on a wet piano in the pouring rain - alot of stress as it is but with all that electricity around you, I'd be very nervous too.

Did you know that the National Anthem is one of the hardest songs to sing because of the range of octaves? Did you know that a lot of Americans CANNOT sing the National Anthem because they don't know the words? And watch other people around you when the anthem is being sung...hats off?, hands on their hearts? (not up in the air like we saw last night), not talking, not walking around, STOPPED, STANDING STILL, singing the song that all nations know as the Amercian National Anthem, but one that some Americans show little respect for. Gimme a break...could you have done any better, in front of a live auidence of 75,000 plus a televised auidence of millions, plus in the pouring down rain? Kudos to him for his performance, he is the only person ever asked to sing that one song, on that one day, for that one game, for more than one time.

I didnt think so either but I thought it was because his voice was so low and yes I love Billy Joel too but I also love prince but frankly I think Billy Joel would have been a better halftime show! I was dissapointed!

I love the guy too, but from what I heard, he did sound a bit flat a couple of times. I give him a pass though. So he was off-key a few times. It was raining buckets and he was probably afraid he would get shocked or electrocuted any second.

Billy Joel Rocks and from exprience singing in a dome is VERY difficult, hearing the monitors and the echo so give him a break.

I thought it was bad too. Imagine if Simon was there, he probably would have said that it was absolutely horrifying.

Should of had Whitney Houston do it, from what i hear she could use the money.

Yes, indeed! I was embarrassed for him!

Maybe he didn't warm up adequately, maybe the cold, wet weather affected his vocal cords......... give him the benefit of the doubt!!!

Prince did great, though, didn't he? I loved it when he tore off his do-rag and started singing Purple Rain!
