I know of only one good way to remember formulae. That is to understand the principals behind the formula. Some formulae, you hear so often that you can't forget them, even if you don't know what they mean. Examples are e=Mc² and F=Ma (well known to physicists and engineers anyway). For some things I need to remember which have no rhyme or reason to them, I make up a sentence in which each letter in the formula is the first letter of a word in the sentence. If what I need to remember is a number, I convert the number to the first 9 letters of the alphabet, with the letter o replacing the number zero. For example, there is a number I used to have to use a lot for which I used the sentence, "And another cold dead dry dog gets eaten.". You would from that be able to figure out what the number is, 11,344,475. Mnemonic devices can be useful, but understanding what the formula is about works better.
