High humidity means that there is a lot of water vapour in the air. Water vapour is the gaseous form of water and is invisible. Air with high humidity is as clear as dry air. Humid days are no darker than non-humid days.

Cloudy days are darker than clear days because the cloud blocks the sunlight from reaching the ground by scattering much of it back out to space. Cloud, however, is composed of minute water droplets. The water droplets appear when the water vapour in the air condenses into liquid water.
