My wife is English and watches a lot of British TV shows at our house in Andalusia. At our old place we had the larger dish installed but even on that some channels were starting to go due to the Astra network that they were on changing. We get most of the channels now streaming on the smart TV connected to a VPN which allows all of the UK channels (BBC ITV etc) to stream live, and some of the US ones as well. So long as you have reasonable broadband speeds it probably is the best way to go now. The VPN systems work either via a smart TV or via a laptop or tablet easy enough.

I'm Brazilian and I can say for you that we have a International channel called GLOBO ... It's present in all world it's like SKY and it's shown a lot of football ... I really hate it, but you can watch it in this channel.. I'm not sure if it's have option to English, but u can try...

You can watch Brazilian football in Internet too... maybe on Band news or Band sports... I think that is only in Portuguese too...
