Your bf/gf should put their family before you. That is only natural. After you are married, you should come first.

I think that is the best choice. Bf/Gf come and go, but family is alway there. That means when a family is started with him he will put them first.

Families are forever good, bad, thick and thin. Relationships are supposed to be forever but they are only when it works out that way. I can't blame anyone for thinking of their family first, if you do, you need to find someone who no longer has a family.

Sorry but that's the way it should be. Think about it if you were to marry someone and have children, wouldn't you want them to to be closer to family instead of off with their lover who might dump them at any point in their future?

Well, I'm not much of a family person but you should maybe try appreciating his family and try getting close to them. If they mean so much to him or her, I'm sure your gf/bf would love for you to get along with their family.

I think that they are a very family oriented person, but there comes a point where you need to draw the line, if you've been together for over a year and you aren't in that "family".. Then you need to reevaluate your relationship

They should. Until you are married, you are not their family. However, if they are allowing you to get treated poorly and walked on, chances are they are a whole family of cowards. Time to move on to a more respectful family to hope to be part of one day.

It's something you need to take a serious look at when evaluating your future. That's not going to change. Some times it's a cultural thing. You need to come first and if you're not, you're getting cheated.

Get used to it. Families are for life and you may not be.

You dont do anything.
You can have a talk with them about it and explain that you feel left out and unimportant, but thats all because until marriage, family comes first.
