Are all divorces messy? What takes so bloody long? What should be quick is taking months. My partner has been married 30 years to a woman who left him for another woman. She is hanging on and on and on. Why do you think this is? And no stupid answers please. Its doing my head in.

God knows I have been waiting for mine 2 years and thats after I got my absolute 12 months ago!!! (Had the absolute! then 2 months later get a call from My solicitor asking "you havent remarried have you????" Some Judge didnt like the paperwork and revoked it) Now on attempt 3 signed papers for Decri Nisi today. (the last Nisi got refused because of the refrence to the first Divorce and Absolute....Go figure!) My Bro's wife dragged his out for 4 years, then finally signed her papers.

Guess it could be a control thing? Prob depends on the indivdual and if they think they have something to gain by dragging it out, especially if its costing you money and causing you stress.
Good Luck hope it all works out ok.

Its because the court systems are packed full of divorces. My case is the state of WV states you can not get a divorce while the women is pregnant. So my dumb ex gets to get the house, kids, her new kid, & her boyfriend. While all I want is a divorce. This has been going on for almost a year now!

Simply put, some people just find it hard to let go, and it sounds like she's one of those people. No, not all divorces are messy, some people are actually mature about calling it quits. Other people are like your friend's wife.

No, not all divorces are messy. And it's none of your business. This is for your partner to take care of, not you.

People do this to cause pain, misery, and ruin the other person's will to continue fighting for anything.

No matter how strong you are, if I tie a cement block to your neck, you will eventually tire.

Why are you hanging on to him? You don't really know what's going on in the relationship. Only what he tells you.
