(if it makes a difference this is for colorado)........i just need to ask some questions but i am not using a lawyer for my divorce...so are there any that offer you free lawyer advice? Thanks....Serious Answers Only PLEASE

Call your local Courthouse and ask about free legal aid

The court system will not assign you a lawyer for a divorce, since it is a civil case. The best idea would be to look around for lawyers that have good reputations and ask them if they do "pro bono publico" (for the public good) work. This means they will take your case for free, kind of like doctors doing free work on the side to help people that can't afford the full hospital treatment. Some do this kind of work and some don't, but if nothing else one may be nice and work for cheaper than usual.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you'll find much free help in divorce. One thing I found out is that any kind of family law is a business that brings in huge sums of money for even minor amounts of help.

Your best bet is to talk to a paralegal. Free consultations are only there to get you to hire the lawyer. They won't usually give you much until you show them the money.

just call around to some differnt laywers offices, some do a free consultation.
