I've been suckered in, and I don't currently see a way out of the contract. Has it worked well for anyone?

Their products are up-market quality for the average low market/quality price. They also represent a lot of manufacturers that aren't rep'd by the big box outlets or common sources. I have bought a lot of things in my name for friends and relatives that want something very different that isn't available at the usual spots. I inform them it will be a few bucks more than they see because it cost ME a lot of money to get the source. It helps to pay down the investment in Direct Buy but you aren't supposed to do it. If they find out, you may be in trouble. IF the friend/family wants the product enough, they will pay a few bucks more and keep their mouth shut about it too. Everybody wins. As an example, I bought a 'certain' bed there that would have cost at least 2-3 times the amount everywhere else I found one and the one they had was the nicest I found. Champagne for soda budget. Many of their products' prices may be beaten by other sources but not ALL THE TIME, mostly from the others as a sale of limited time or quantity (buy it now or pay more later; if we have any)... be creative and you'll find a way to maximize on your investment. Their jewelery is amazing quality for Walmart pricing. If your friends/family want the same pricing you get; tell them to spend the money like you did. You can help them out and you out by sharing the membership incognito. They have to research their purchase though. If the lowest price is all they want; send them to Walmart and it will look like it. Good Luck.

I'm sorry to hear that you fell for the salespersons gimmicks and fast talk. I have heard nothing but bad comments about them. There was a post on here not tooooo long ago that dealt with someone trying to get out of their contract because of the salespersons lies. In my experience..if someones price is just sooooooo good then why can't they give you the price list before you pay a membership. And they do not tell you that they only go through certain companies which may or may not have what you want for the price you want to pay. I would look over that contract and get with a lawyer to see if there is anything you can do. Surely there is a grace period you know?

You have paid the company its profit up front. Now you have to buy enough to make it worth it. You might check with the BBB or your state's attorney general to see if your state has a law about getting out of contracts in the first few days - if it has been that short.
