His name is Corey Taylor. He didn't leave Slipknot for Stone Sour. He is just in 2 bands. James (Jim) from Slipknot is also in Stone Sour.

Cory Taylor, and he didn't leave slipknot to join stone sour, stone sour were around long before slipknot, slipknot was his side project that got famous before his first band, as far as I'm aware hes still in both
