Not have Prince dancing around with underwear tied on his head for starters.

You didn't like Prince last night??? Just kiddin'. After the Justin Timberlake-Janet Jackson event, the NFL has taken over the supervision of the halftime show. They're going to only approved shows that meet their criteria, basically non-controversial. That's why we've seen Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones and Prince who are currently non-controversial and have a huge fan base (albeit people over 30). No more Michael Jackson (child molestation), R. Kelly (child pornography), Snogg Dogg (illegal substance) or Dixie Chicks (political views) who would give migranes for the NFL office. Okay so we'll probably not see a rap recording artist for a while in the Super Bowl halftime show.

With these big limitations, the NFL could:

1) Find a way to reunite famous bands or showcase bands that just got back together. Who wouldn't want to see Van Halen perform Jump in the halftime show? The Police are reuniting for the Grammys.
2) Use the New Year's Eve show format. Just have a bunch of up and coming recording acts perform just like it was Dec 31st. So the NFL doesn't have to depend on one single person or group to deliver the halftime show.
3) Have a circus act, like the ones in NBA arenas. You can have a motocycle jump a few cars through a burning loop. Or some guy who can contort his body into a small box.
4) Have two college marching bands perform, and have the audience and viewers at home vote for who's the best (text message or web site).
5) Have last season's 10 American Idol contestants perform at halftime. Just kiddin'.

I would get an artist that is relevant to the people viewing the Superbowl. What should have happened is that (some artist) should have came down from the sky... kicked Prince's ***, and then proceeded to take over the show.

Have Prince get hit by lightning. Now that would be entertaining. Howevere they would probably have been fined by the FCC.

They should get someone who has actually had a hit within the last 10 years.

I would have done nothing to it. It was fantastic, because I am a Prince fan. It was perfect.
