What is the best All wheel drive sedan. Mercedes 4matic E class vs BMW ix or something else?

Having owned a BMW, I would have to go with them, although the Chrysler 300C AWD is also an excellent car. The AWD system in the 300C is the same as it found in the Mercedes.

THE AUDI S4 OR RS4 IS ABOUT AS FAST AS YOU GET IN AWD SEDAN.. THESE ARE BOTH HIGH-PERFORMANCE MODELS.. THE S4 HAS 340 HP V-8 WITH MANUEL OR TIPTRONIC TRANSMISSION. THE RS 4 IS 420HP WITH MANUEL TRANSMISSION. THE MITSUBISHI EVO OR THE SUBARU WRX STI ARE ABOUT HALF THE PRICE--GREAT PERFORMANCE---LOOKS OF BOTH NOT TO GREAT IN MY OPINION--LITTLE TOO JUVENILE. BMW AND MERCEDES ARE GOING TO HAVE SOLID PERFORMANCE BUT LOT LESS SPORTY. THE ACURA RL IS ANOTHER AWD SEDAN WITH 300HP V-6. HAS ALOT OF AMENITIES BUT WILL BE LIKE THE BMW AND MERCEDES MORE CONSERVATIVE IN THE HANDLING AND ACCELERATION. CADILLAC ALSO MAKES THE STS IN AN AWD IN A V-6 OR V-8 POWERTRAIN. CHEVROLET HAS THE FUSION. IF I WAS BUYING A CAR TOMORROW IT WOULD HAVE TO AUDI A8 OR THE S8 THEY CAN BE HAD WITH A V8 OR V12 POWER. VOLKSWAGEN MAKES THE PHAETON WHICH I THINK HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED IS IDENTICAL TO A-8 JUST LESS MONEY.

Other cars to consider are Audi, Subaru or Volvo. Subaru basically invented the AWD/4WD sedan, they've pretty much got it down the best. And they have better engines now - both their 4-cyl turbo & the flat six are now 250 hp. The 6 has more torque.

It totally depends upon what you are basing it off of, the Mazdaspeed 6 is a nice quick AWD car under 30k, it has 270hp and 280 torque so it will move! Comes with a bose system and as I said UNDER 30k! As for the most fun.....Audi A4 Quattro is a blast as is the Subaru sti wrx and it is fast as lightning. But both of those cars are well over 30k.

audi and subaru have the best AWD sedans. depending on if you want speed (wrx sti is best speed for money), luxury (up to the audi A8L), or both (S or RS 4 from audi)
