I'm attracted to this guy at my job. I don't have much experience in asking men out on dates. I would feel awful if he said no. Please show me the way to ask him if he would like to go out with me sometime.

difficult stuff, how to take the risk without getting hurt, embassassed and all... but shyness is common. Try this...

Check out the films around and start a conversation about a particular movie and see where it goes... THEN he may flirt with you and you can respond OR you can say "do you plan on seeing it" "or u can say "I dont go to a lot of movies because I dont like to go alone"... this is good stuff

Most likely the guy is shy so prodding is good. A sociopath never has problems with this stuff. The NICE guys are generally shy or afraid of women and need some nurturing. REMEMBER THAT. Most of the guys will be the insensitive, ego-driven self-centered ones.

lemme know how it works out larrydoyle52@yahoo.com

As a guy I guess the easiest thing to hear would be

"So what are your plans after work tonight?" or "What are you up to this weekend?"

Something simple like that, ask him what he has planned. Then ask him if he wants to go see a movie, go for dinner, whatever. Talk casually, and don't even say the word date or hint that it is a date in any way unless he says yes. If he does then say something like "Pick me up at 8:00?" which would clue him in. If he says he can't just play it off like you were just asking as a friend.

Edit: No offense to BT but don't do what he/she said. Guys don't deal usually well with notes and emails it makes us feel akward, I've been asked questions like that before and it drives me crazy, and not in the seductive way. Plus you would feel terrible as heck waiting for his reply! Lunch is a good suggestion too, but it maybe is a bit too casual to even call a date. Good luck ;)

Ask him to lunch. Lunch is a no pressure thing, and you can put out your feelers from there. Co workers go to lunch together all the time.

Go right up to him and say. Please don't answer now, send me an email or drop me a note, but "What would you do if someone like myself asked you out...?" and just walk away...

Good luck..!
