Get the heck out of the middle east for one. That IS what they want. They want control over their own lands. If someone invaded America or had bases in our country that were Chinese, or Russian or other, isn't that what you would want too?

well muslims are just like anyone else , what would u do to win the heart of anyone ? Respect is the answer i guess , u must respect them and respect their minds and their belifes , that's the only way for the world to live in peace , Muslims do hold bombs everywhere , infact we are speaking here about a small group who did that , u can't generilize that's not correct , those were indivisuals and not all muslims are like that infact they are the exact oppoisit cuz Islam calls for peace , we should stop turning the facts and start respecting the ppl for who they are or else Americans will live in a Bubble .

They don't want their "hearts and minds" won, they don't respect that. Go spend some time in a moderate Muslim country and you will understand that they don't think like we do. They are not there to be won over. Their mindset is based on their social structure, not on a free society like we have. This is why pushing a democracy and expecting it to work is futile. It would be the same as Islam being pushed on people in the U.S. as a whole, its just not going to take.

Show respect. Realize that not all Muslims are radicals and tht Islam is not evil. One great way for us to win their hearts and minds is to get out of their territory. They don't want us there, they see us as invading their way of life and their customs.
We need to stop thinking everybody should be just like us and appreciate the diversity we have in the world.
Patrick Henry at a meeting of the House of Burgesses said about a man who he disagreed with "Although I disagree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it." That can be applied to many things. Instead of say substitue believe or dress. Substitute live or govern yourself. Patrick Henry, in those few words summarized better than anyone what America is and should always be.

Well we can't very well do that while we are invading and occupying a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 under the excuse of fighting terrorism.
As long as the US has the attitude of "If you don't like democracy, we will come to your country and bomb you until you realize that you have a choice in how your country is run" we will never do anything except help religious extremists recruit more people that will fight us.

Maybe stop smearing the entire religion based on falsehoods and scare tactics at our expense. That would be a start. Maybe stop calling our people "terrorists" when they defend themselves from evil we have either created or paid for in their home lands. Then some education as to what Islam is based on and drop the demonizing of a peaceful and beautiful religion. Last, but definitely not least, stop killing our brothers and sisters all over the world for nothing but lies and a political agenda of the US and Israel.

We can stop trying to control them and their countries. We can accept them and respect their religious rights. A biggie would be to stop trying for force American ideals and government down their throats. Stop the killing in Iraq. In general, we can mind our own business of our own country. Fix the problems here before we go out to take care of the world. They do not want to be like us. Accept that. Live and let live.

Put more control on Hollywood. Stop pumping porn into middle-eastern countries that have different views of women than ours. That's a start. Stop pumping our secular values into Foreign lands.

I don't think we need to. I think we need to make it an ill bargan for them to attack us. I think conquering two countries was a good start, and trying to build new nations there is a mistake.
I think we destroy them, they like living in the 7th century I think we send them back to it.
